Iraqi Singer's Tunisian Fine...

Kathem el Saher

In 1993, prominent Iraqi singer Kathem el Saher signed a contract proposing that he would tour the many cities in Tunis, but Saher failed to comply thoroughly with the terms of the contract. Though it has taken over ten years for the court to reach its verdict, a fine of $36 thousand in US currency is to be paid by Saher to Tunisian concert sponsor El Said Lasa'd.

On a lighter note, Saher, 43, is doing really well with his new album. He is a one-of-a-kind singer, in that his style of singing is very unique and rhythmic. His latest song,
"Ahibeenee Bila Ukadee" ("Love Me Without Restraints") has hit it big and the future for this singer looks bright.
